Iran Says It Secured Secret Files on Israel’s Nuclear Program

In a dramatic revelation on Saturday, Iranian state broadcaster IRIB reported that Iran’s intelligence agencies have acquired thousands of sensitive files related to Israel’s nuclear facilities and strategic plans. Described as one of the most significant intelligence breaches in Israel’s history, the claim has not been addressed by Israeli authorities.

According to IRIB, the smuggled documents include detailed blueprints, operational records and future development roadmaps. The broadcaster said it took several weeks to review and catalog the volume of data, underscoring the logistical challenge of handling such a large cache.

Arrests and Timing

On May 20, Israel’s Shin Bet security agency and police announced the arrest of two Israeli citizens in April near Haifa on suspicion of gathering intelligence for Iran. IRIB suggested these arrests may be linked to the document exfiltration but emphasized that the files had already left Israeli territory by that time.

In recent years, Israel has accused Iran of stepping up efforts to recruit citizens for espionage in exchange for monetary rewards. In December, Israeli police detained nearly 30 individuals, most of them Jewish, on suspicion of spying for Iran.

What’s Next?

This revelation raises fresh questions about regional security and the integrity of Israel’s nuclear secrecy. With no official Israeli comment yet, global observers will be watching closely for responses from both sides.
