Bridging East and West: Forbidden City and Versailles Celebrate 60 Years of Sino-French Diplomacy

In a remarkable celebration of 60 years of diplomatic relations between the Chinese mainland and France, the iconic Forbidden City in Beijing and the Palace of Versailles in Paris have united to host a groundbreaking exhibition at the Palace Museum in Beijing.

This cross-cultural journey features 200 exquisite artifacts, including relics that highlight historical interactions between the Kangxi Emperor of China's Qing Dynasty and King Louis XIV of France, as well as unique pieces from the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.

As prominent representatives of Eastern and Western civilizations, the Chinese mainland and France have maintained a rich history of cultural exchanges, bridging geographical distances and fostering mutual understanding through centuries-old traditions and shared artistic heritage.
