Medical practitioners and healthcare institutions have been urged to remain vigilant in identifying and reporting mpox cases. Early detection is crucial in preventing wider transmission, and the MOH emphasizes the importance of swift response from the medical community.
In response to confirmed Clade I cases, close contacts will be quarantined in designated government facilities for a period of 21 days. This measure aims to contain any potential spread and ensure that those exposed receive proper monitoring and care.
Suspected Clade I cases will undergo isolation while awaiting test results. If a case tests positive, the individual will remain isolated in healthcare facilities until they are no longer considered infectious, thereby reducing the risk of further transmission.
