Excitement is building as Italy gears up for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games. Ticket sales have officially begun, marking a key milestone in the countdown to one of the world’s most anticipated sporting events. Hosted in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, the games promise thrilling competition from February 6 to 22, 2026.
Organizers announced that tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis exclusively through the official website. An early bird promotion offering discounted prices on selected sessions is in effect until May 6, adding to the buzz. Over 660,000 tickets have already been sold during pre-sale phases, drawing enthusiastic buyers from Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and France.
Embracing a digital-first approach, each buyer can purchase up to 25 nominative digital tickets, with free name changes available starting in December via the official ticketing app. Families are also considered, with children aged 3 and under admitted for free when seated on a guardian's lap.
With Visa established as the official payment method, organizers stress the importance of using only official channels to secure tickets and hospitality packages, ensuring a smooth and reliable process.
The event will showcase 16 days of winter sports across 116 events in venues spanning Milan, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Bormio, Livigno, and the historic Arena di Verona – the site of the closing ceremony. Alongside, the Paralympic Games will feature nine days of competition and 79 medal events, with more than 600 athletes set to compete.
This global celebration not only highlights athletic excellence but also invites digital nomads, young professionals, sports fans, and cultural enthusiasts to experience Italy’s rich heritage and innovative spirit. The 2026 Winter Olympics promise to deliver a dynamic, immersive experience that resonates with a diverse, globally connected audience.
