Luke Shaw Poised for Euro 2024 with England: Southgate Optimistic

Exciting news for England fans as Gareth Southgate suggests that Luke Shaw has a \"good chance\" of joining the national team for the upcoming UEFA European Championship in Germany.

Shaw, who has been a stalwart for Manchester United, has been sidelined since a muscular injury in February's Premier League clash against Luton Town. Despite the setback, Southgate remains confident in Shaw's recovery and readiness for the prestigious tournament.

\"He's progressing very well, I have to say,\" Southgate told TalkSport. \"I think I said last week that until we had the players in front of us working with us, there was a lot of information that we didn't have.\"

The manager emphasized that while Shaw still needs to demonstrate his capabilities in game situations, he's impressed with the player's dedication and the work he's putting in with the physical performance team and medics.

Luke Shaw's stats speak volumes. Since joining Manchester United from Southampton in July 2014, Shaw has made 275 appearances, scoring four goals and providing 28 assists. His contribution to England includes 31 caps, with three goals and nine assists.

As Euro 2024 approaches, Shaw's potential inclusion adds depth to England's defensive lineup, and fans are eagerly anticipating his return to both club and country stages.
