China's men's football national team is gearing up to face Thailand on June 6 in Shenyang, a key World Cup qualifier.
After four games, China holds second place in Group C with seven points, three ahead of Thailand. Branko Ivankovic's side will take on South Korea on June 11 to conclude this qualifying stage.
Both China and Thailand have a chance to advance to the second round with two games left. Naturalized forward Alan is back in the squad after scoring five goals in 14 Chinese Super League (CSL) games this season for Qingdao West Coast.
However, Shanghai Port striker Wu Lei and Shandong Taishan midfielder Li Yuanyi will miss the match due to suspension. Despite a demanding CSL schedule, China's players are confident they can recover in time for the two crucial games.
