Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul: Historic Professional Boxing Showdown Set for July 20

Boxing legend Mike Tyson and YouTuber-turned-prizefighter Jake Paul are gearing up for a monumental clash on July 20 in Arlington. This highly anticipated bout has been officially sanctioned as a professional fight, meaning it will count on both fighters' official records.

The fight will take place at the sprawling 80,000-seat AT&T Stadium, home to the NFL's Dallas Cowboys, and will be streamed live on Netflix. Fans can expect an intense matchup consisting of eight two-minute rounds with 14-ounce gloves.

At 58 years old, \"Iron Mike\" Tyson is making his first professional appearance since his exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020, which ended in a draw. With a record of 50-6 and 44 KOs, Tyson brings decades of experience to the ring.

Facing him is 27-year-old Jake Paul, boasting a record of 9-1 with 6 KOs. Initially, there were thoughts that the fight might be an exhibition due to Tyson's age, but the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (TDLR) has given it the green light as a professional match.

This fight marks the largest age gap in professional boxing history, spanning 31 years, according to ESPN. Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) alongside Paul, expressed excitement about the sanctioned bout, stating, \"Mike Tyson and Jake Paul signed on to fight each other with the desire to do so in a sanctioned professional fight that would have a definitive outcome.\"

The undercard promises more excitement, featuring a rematch between lightweight champion Katie Taylor and seven-division champion Amanda Serrano. Their previous encounter in April 2022 saw Taylor win by split decision, setting the stage for a thrilling rematch.
