The Oakland Athletics have announced that they will play their home games at Sutter Health Park in Sacramento, California, for at least three years following their departure from Oakland to Las Vegas, Nevada.
The team has secured a three-year lease with the city of Sacramento and will share the ballpark with the Sacramento River Cats, the San Francisco Giants' Triple-A team. Additionally, the agreement includes an option for a one-year extension if the Athletics' new ballpark on the Las Vegas Strip is not ready in time for the 2028 season.
\"I just want to say we're excited to be here for the next three years,\" said John Fisher, owner of the Athletics, during an outdoor press conference. \"Playing in this beautiful ballpark but also being able to watch some of the greatest players in baseball, whether they be Athletics players or Aaron Judge and others launching home runs out of this very intimate ballpark, will be an incredible experience for the next three years.\"
