China and Kyrgyzstan Forge Stronger Partnership for Regional Development

In a move to bolster regional development, Chinese Premier Li Qiang announced that China will collaborate closely with Kyrgyzstan to consolidate mutual support and enhance their strategic partnership. Speaking at the 23rd Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Premier Li emphasized the importance of remaining reliable and dependable partners in development and revitalization.

Premier Li highlighted the recent meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Kyrgyzstan Prime Minister Sadyr Japarov in Astana, which set the stage for a closer China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future. Both leaders aim to elevate bilateral relations to new heights, focusing on high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.

China is committed to enhancing coordination and cooperation with Kyrgyzstan across various fields. This includes improving infrastructure such as ports, stimulating trade and investment, and expanding collaborations in new energy, cross-border e-commerce, big data, and artificial intelligence. The goal is to achieve tangible cooperation results that promote common development and prosperity.

Additionally, both nations are set to deepen exchanges in culture, tourism, education, and health, ensuring that the friendship between China and Kyrgyzstan is passed down through generations. Premier Li reiterated China's readiness to implement the outcomes of last year's China-Central Asia Summit and to promote the \"Shanghai Spirit\" within the SCO framework, thereby contributing to regional peace, stability, and development.

Kyrgyzstan's Prime Minister Akylbek Zhaparov expressed gratitude for China's support in the country's economic and social development. He affirmed Kyrgyzstan's commitment to strengthening the bilateral relationship, advancing the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project, and enhancing cooperation in finance, mining, education, and tourism. Zhaparov also affirmed Kyrgyzstan's support for building a community with a shared future for mankind and pledged to work with China to boost multilateral coordination and regional prosperity.
