The Electoral Affairs Commission for the Chief Executive Election of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) has officially confirmed Sam Hou Fai as the accepted candidate for the upcoming chief executive election.
On Wednesday, the commission completed an eligibility review of the sole application submitted for candidacy. Following the review, a final list was published, highlighting Sam Hou Fai alongside the members of the Chief Executive Election Committee who nominated him.
With no objections raised within one day of the eligibility announcement, the commission proceeded to finalize Sam Hou Fai as the only candidate for the election.
The chief executive election is scheduled to take place on October 13, marking a significant event in Macao SAR's political landscape.
