Strengthening Friendship: China and Poland Boost Cultural Exchanges

China and Poland are deepening their bilateral friendship through enhanced cultural exchanges, fostering mutual understanding and appreciation of each other's heritage.

Last summer, 24 students from the Confucius Institutes at Poland's Adam Mickiewicz University and Vistula University embarked on a two-week journey to China's Tianjin Municipality. As part of the \"Chinese Bridge\" summer camp, the students immersed themselves in Chinese language and culture, participating in courses, cultural visits, and various activities designed to promote cross-cultural dialogue.

\"My journey in China is over, but my journey of learning Chinese culture has just begun,\" remarked a student during the graduation ceremony, highlighting the lasting impact of the experience.

The commitment to people-to-people exchanges was further emphasized by Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, during her visit to China's National Center for the Performing Arts on Monday. Accompanying her was Agata Kornhauser-Duda, wife of Polish President Andrzej Duda, who is currently on a state visit to China. Together, they enjoyed a series of performances, including traditional Chinese folk music, Peking Opera, and piano compositions from both nations.

\"China and Poland boast a long history and profound cultural traditions,\" Peng Liyuan stated, noting that cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries have become increasingly active in recent years. These initiatives not only strengthen bilateral ties but also pave the way for future collaborations in various fields.
