The discussions also centered around leveraging the China-Cambodia People-to-People Exchange Year 2024. Both sides aim to strengthen the foundational community ties, fostering a shared future between their peoples.
Deputy Prime Minister Sok Chenda Sophea reaffirmed Cambodia's steadfast support for the one-China principle and China's efforts to safeguard its core interests. He assured that Cambodia is committed to promoting pragmatic cooperation with China and will work to create a conducive environment for Chinese investments.
The leaders agreed to deepen collaboration in various sectors, including agriculture, infrastructure, connectivity, the digital economy, artificial intelligence, special economic zones, and human resources development. Additionally, they planned to enhance people-to-people ties through initiatives in education, tourism, youth engagement, and vocational training.
