The World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting took place in Davos from January 15-19, 2024, bringing together world leaders and stakeholders to rejuvenate globalization and address some of today's most pressing challenges. In this edition of Leaders Talk, CMG's Zou Yun sat down with Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), to delve into the agenda of this year's meeting.
Schwab emphasized the necessity of rebuilding trust in an increasingly \"fearful and fragmented\" world. He outlined the WEF's commitment to fostering a new, more constructive spirit as the 4th Industrial Revolution presents new opportunities in a multipolar world. According to Schwab, the Chinese mainland's impressive development since the reform and opening-up era demonstrates its capacity to navigate future turbulences and assume a more responsible role on the global stage.
