The Chinese Ministry of Water Resources has issued a warning on Monday regarding potential floods in the country's southern areas. Heavy downpours expected in the coming days could cause many small and medium-sized rivers to exceed alert levels.
Provinces such as Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangxi, Guangdong, and Hunan are among the regions at risk. The heavy rainfall forecast to hit parts of southwest China, south China, and areas south of the Yangtze River is set to continue from Tuesday through Saturday, the ministry reported.
