Israeli Leaders Confirm Prolonged Gaza Conflict Amid Rising Death Toll

The Israeli army's chief of staff, Herzl Halevi, announced on Tuesday that \\"the war in Gaza is expected to continue for many more months.\\" This statement follows Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's tour of the northern Gaza Strip a day earlier, where he vowed to persist in the ongoing fight.

Since October 7, the conflict has led to significant casualties, with at least 20,915 people killed and 54,918 others injured in Israeli strikes on Gaza, according to the Gazan health ministry's report on Tuesday.
