In the heart of Qom, Iran, a local charity named People's Relief Headquarters has been a beacon of hope during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since February, Mahmoud Parchebaf and his dedicated team have been tirelessly working to support vulnerable families who faced unemployment and financial hardship due to the outbreak.
To date, the organization has identified and provided financial assistance to 15,000 families through local support centers. Each family received 5,000,000 Iranian rial, approximately 118 U.S. dollars, helping them navigate the economic strain caused by the pandemic.
But the mission doesn't stop there. People's Relief Headquarters is committed to extending their support to an additional 5,000 families in the near future, aiming to reach a total of 20,000 families in need.
Recognizing the urgent need for protective measures, the charity has also applied for a license to establish a mask production workshop. This initiative addresses the dire shortage of masks in the country, ensuring that more families can stay safe and healthy during these uncertain times.
Through unwavering dedication and community collaboration, People's Relief Headquarters continues to make a significant impact, embodying the spirit of resilience and solidarity in Qom.
