Celebrating 60 Years of China-France Ties with a Vibrant Choir Concert in Paris

In 2024, the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France was honored with a unique and heartwarming celebration in the heart of Paris. A Sino-French choir concert brought together talented young voices from both nations, highlighting the enduring friendship and cultural exchange that have flourished over six decades.

The event featured the Wuzhishan Li and Miao Children's Choir from Wuzhishan City in Hainan Province, alongside France’s own Choeur des Polysons (Polysons Children's Choir) and La chorale Chin'harmonie of the Association Vent d'Orient Vent d'Occident. These choirs delivered a magnificent audiovisual performance, captivating local Chinese and French audiences alike.

The French Choeur des Polysons enchanted the crowd with a classic excerpt from the beloved opera \"Carmen,\" seamlessly blending into a heartfelt rendition of \"If I Go to China.” This song beautifully expressed their admiration for China’s stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage. In a reciprocal gesture, the Wuzhishan Li and Miao Children's Choir performed the original song \"Singing Wuzhishan to France,” delivering it in both Chinese and French while adorned in exquisite ethnic costumes.

This vibrant concert not only celebrated the diplomatic milestone but also added a lively dimension to the ongoing China-France Year of Culture and Tourism. By uniting young global citizens through music, the event underscored the power of cultural exchange in fostering international friendship and understanding.
