Chinese smartphone and EV maker Xiaomi’s president, Lu Weibing, unveiled the Xring O1, the company’s next self-developed system-on-a-chip (SoC), during a live-streamed 15th-anniversary product preview. The Xring O1 marks Xiaomi’s comeback to in-house chip design after the 2017 launch of the Surge S1.
