Shenhua Crush Dalian Yingbo 3-0 to Extend CSL Lead

Shanghai Shenhua continued their dominant run in the Chinese Super League (CSL) with a convincing 3-0 away win over Dalian Yingbo in Dalian, in Liaoning Province on the Chinese mainland. The victory keeps Shenhua at the summit with 32 points from 10 wins, two draws and one loss after 13 matches, two clear of second-placed Chengdu Rongcheng.

The breakthrough came in the 34th minute when Chen Jinyi delivered a low cross that was deflected by Liao Jintao and fell to Joao Teixeira, who confidently slotted home.

Just four minutes later, a long ball from Wu Xi sent Saulo Mineiro in behind the defence; his header was guided home by Liu Chengyu to double the lead. Seven minutes into the second half, Mineiro again capitalized on a precise assist from Wu to seal the 3-0 win, leaving Dalian's goalkeeper Sui Weijie stranded after rushing off his line.

As rivals failed to win later in the day, Shanghai's top spot remains secure. Here's how the rest of Saturday's fixtures unfolded:

  • Changchun Yatai 1-2 Tianjin Jinmen Tiger – Bruno Xadas opened the scoring early and set up Alberto Quiles in the 67th to hand Tianjin sixth place. Tan Long pulled one back in the 89th, but Changchun remain at the bottom.
  • Qingdao Hainiu 1-1 Beijing Guoan – A tight draw in the east.
  • Chengdu Rongcheng 1-1 Qingdao West Coast – Rongcheng dropped points but stay second.
  • Shanghai Port 1-1 Shandong Taishan – Both sides remain in contention after sharing spoils.

With the title race heating up, Shanghai Shenhua look the team to beat—but with many matches still to play, the chase for the CSL crown is far from over.
