Before his consultation, Li's condition details were already displayed on the cardiology doctor's computer. In just eight seconds, the AI provided diagnostic suggestions and assessed potential risks related to his dental implants, ensuring a smooth and informed treatment process.
The innovative system in Shenzhen now supports 16 categories across 63 clinical scenarios and has been integrated into nearly 450 AI products in various medical institutions. This technology bridges the expertise gap when patients present with multiple health issues, making it an essential tool in delivering precise care.
Pei Xiaoyang, director of cardiovascular medicine at Luohu People's Hospital, explained, "Patients sometimes present with comorbidities, and specialists may lack expertise in overlapping disciplines. AI bridges these gaps by offering insights into medications and treatments beyond our core specialties."
