Wang emphasized that China is cultivating a robust cadre of 18.91 million full-time teachers, distinguished by their strong ethics and professional skills. To achieve high-quality and balanced educational development, he urged educators to embody the "educator spirit," drawing inspiration from revered figures such as Confucius, Tao Xingzhi, Zhang Guimei, and Yu Yi.
Addressing the need to make teaching a more attractive career, Wang called for improved benefits and policies to attract top talent into the education sector. He advocated for a holistic approach to education, encompassing moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor development. Additionally, he stressed the importance of equitable resource distribution and teacher rotation to ensure a balanced educational environment.
Recognizing the transformative impact of artificial intelligence and the evolving needs of digitally native students, Wang encouraged teachers to engage in continuous professional development through national and provincial programs. This focus aims to equip educators with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the digital era, ensuring that they can effectively meet the challenges and opportunities presented by technological advancements.
