China's top political advisory body, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, kicked off its annual session on Tuesday in Beijing.
Wang Huning, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presented a comprehensive work report on behalf of the Standing Committee.
Over the past year, the CPPCC National Committee received 6,019 proposals, with 5,091 of them being filed, achieving an outstanding 99.9-percent response rate.
The committee also handled 54,317 information submissions, of which 11,323 were adopted. Additionally, 1,728 information bulletins were compiled and published, with 1,016 reports submitted to the Communist Party of China Central Committee and state leaders.
Various policy recommendations received 819 instructions from leaders and 53 feedback reports from local governments and departments, underscoring the CPPCC's pivotal role in shaping national policies.
