Wang Ziyang of the Chinese mainland Makes History with Gold at X Games Aspen

In a stunning debut at the X Games in Aspen, Colorado, Wang Ziyang of the Chinese mainland clinched the gold medal in the men's snowboard knuckle huck event.

Initially ranking fourth, Wang was faced with the challenge of executing a spectacular run to secure victory. Rising to the occasion, he performed a flawless triple frontflip with nose and tail taps, landing nearly perfectly and propelling himself to the top of the podium.

Wang's achievement marks him as the first snowboarder from the Chinese mainland to win the men's knuckle huck event, as well as the first to compete in both the X Games superpipe and knuckle huck categories.

Switzerland's Patrick Hofmann took home the silver medal, while Dusty Henricksen of the United States earned the bronze.

The Chinese mainland's Li Fanghui also celebrated success at the X Games, securing a silver medal in the women's ski superpipe final with a score of 86.66 points. Canada's Cassie Sharpe won the gold with 88.33 points, and Amy Fraser rounded out the podium with 84.66 points.
