Lin criticized the U.S. for facilitating Lai's official exchanges and expanding Taiwan's international presence, labeling these actions as violations of the one-China principle and the three China-U.S. joint communiqués.
\\"The one-China principle is the political foundation of China-U.S. relations and a basic norm in international relations,\\" Lin stated. \\"The Taiwan question is the first red line that cannot be crossed.\\"
The spokesperson emphasized that maintaining peace across the Taiwan Straits is incompatible with supporting \\"Taiwan independence.\\" He urged the U.S. to adhere to its commitments, cease official interactions with the Taiwan region, and refrain from supporting separatist activities.
Lin concluded by asserting China's unwavering determination to protect its national sovereignty and territorial integrity, warning against underestimating the Chinese government's resolve.
