The capital of Mongolia, Ulan Bator, witnessed a significant cultural event on Monday with the launch of the Cyrillic Mongolian editions of Xi Jinping's influential works, Xi Jinping: The Governance of China and Xi Jinping's Excerpts on Poverty Alleviation. Accompanying the book release was a seminar focused on governance practices in China and Mongolia.
During the event, esteemed guests from both China and Mongolia unveiled the newly translated editions, marking a collaborative effort to enhance mutual understanding. The seminar provided a platform for experts and scholars from both nations to exchange insights on state governance, emphasizing the importance of shared experiences in poverty alleviation and modernization.
Participants highlighted the occasion as part of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Mongolia and the 10th anniversary of the China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership. They underscored the significance of strengthening governance exchanges, deepening friendship, and building a community with a shared future.
Khurelbaatar Bulgantuya, deputy chairman of Mongolia's State Great Hural, praised China's strides under Xi Jinping's leadership in building a modern socialist country and acknowledged Mongolia's admiration for China's contributions to global poverty reduction. She emphasized that the publications offer valuable references for countries worldwide.
Shen Minjuan, Chinese ambassador to Mongolia, expressed optimism that the wisdom and solutions presented in the books would inspire Mongolia and bolster bilateral cooperation across various fields.
Adiyasuren Davaajargal, state secretary of Mongolia's Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth, noted the growing cooperation between Mongolia and China, highlighting the books as vital bridges for deepening governance experience exchanges.
The Cyrillic Mongolian translation of the second volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China was a collaborative effort between the Foreign Languages Press and Mongolia's Admon Publishing House. This marks the first translation of the book into Cyrillic Mongolian, expanding its accessibility to Mongolian readers.
Since its initial publication, Xi Jinping: The Governance of China has been translated into 42 languages, while Xi Jinping's Excerpts on Poverty Alleviation is available in multiple languages including English, French, Spanish, Russian, and Arabic. The release in Cyrillic Mongolian is expected to foster a deeper understanding of China's contemporary governance and enhance the traditional friendship between China and Mongolia.
The event, organized by the Chinese State Council Information Office, Mongolia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the China International Publishing Group, and the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia, was attended by over 300 representatives from political parties, media outlets, think tanks, and diplomatic missions from both countries.
