China is set to host an exciting lineup of eight international ice and snow sports events from November 19 to December 8, marking a significant contribution to the global winter sports calendar.
The 2024-25 International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) World Cup kicks off its second stop in Yanqing on Tuesday. Yanqing, one of the three competition zones for the 2022 Winter Olympics alongside Beijing and Zhangjiakou, will witness intense competitions.
Chinese athletes are making their mark early in the season. Chen Wenhao secured fifth place in the men's skeleton first-day race, while Zhao Dan achieved the same ranking in the women's competition at the series' opening stop in Pyeongchang, South Korea, on November 16.
