Xi Jinping Heads to Peru for APEC Summit and State Visit

Chinese President Xi Jinping departed from Beijing on Wednesday, embarking on a significant journey to Peru. His visit marks China's active participation in global economic discussions and underscores the importance of strengthening international ties.

From November 13 to 17, Xi will attend the 31st Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting in Lima, Peru's bustling capital. In addition to the summit, he will engage in a state visit, aiming to enhance bilateral relations and explore new avenues for cooperation between China and Peru.

Accompanying President Xi are notable officials, including Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, and Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the Foreign Minister. Their presence highlights China's commitment to impactful diplomacy and meaningful engagements on the global stage.
