Amidst geopolitical tensions and economic challenges, the World Economic Forum (WEF) Special Meeting on Global Collaboration, Growth and Energy for Development convened in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking its first occasion in the kingdom.

Bringing together 1,000 global leaders, the summit aimed to address pressing interconnected challenges through meaningful dialogue and cooperative strategies, according to Borge Brende, president of WEF.

\"The Middle East is at the heart of shaping security, energy, and development paths forward,\" Brende emphasized. \"It is only by coming together we can chart a course toward a more secure, stable, and sustainable future.\"

The opening sessions underscored the significance of inclusive growth. Faisal Alibrahim, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Economy and Planning, highlighted the necessity of putting people first. \"Inclusive growth is not just a lofty ideal, it is a categorical imperative,\" he stated. \"This means investing in people, in their skills, in their education, and in their well-being.\"

The meeting in Riyadh serves as a pivotal platform for fostering collaboration and driving sustainable development initiatives that resonate globally.
