China Southern Airlines has officially launched its inaugural flight connecting Beijing Daxing International Airport with King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. The new service, which began on Tuesday, utilizes the Airbus A330-300 and is scheduled to operate every Tuesday and Saturday.
This expansion marks a significant step in strengthening the ties between China and Saudi Arabia, facilitating increased people-to-people interactions as well as boosting economic and trade exchanges. Chinese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Chen Weiqing highlighted the impact of these flights, noting that in 2023 alone, over 30,000 Saudi citizens traveled to China, while hundreds of thousands of Chinese nationals visited Saudi Arabia for tourism and business purposes.
The introduction of more regular non-stop flights is expected to further promote bilateral relations, making travel more convenient for both tourists and business professionals. This initiative underscores the growing connectivity and collaboration between the two nations, paving the way for future opportunities in various sectors.
