China, Pakistan Deepen All-Weather Partnership on 75th Anniversary

On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, Beijing hosted a milestone meeting as Wang Huning, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese Peoples Political Consultative Conference, met with Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan. The gathering marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan.

Wang emphasized Chinas commitment to implementing key agreements reached by both leaders, aiming to deepen practical cooperation across economy, trade, infrastructure and cultural exchanges. He called for accelerating the development of an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era, with the CPPCC ready to lend its support.

Sadiq reaffirmed Pakistans firm adherence to the one-China principle and its active backing of the four global initiatives put forward by China. He highlighted Pakistans eagerness to expand collaboration on the Belt and Road Initiative, personnel training, and to fully ensure the safety of Chinese personnel, projects and institutions on Pakistani soil.

As they look ahead, both sides pledged to build on their ironclad friendship, leveraging 75 years of partnership to deliver tangible benefits for businesses, young professionals and communities across both nations.
