Shenhua responded with determination. In the 63rd minute, Gao Tianyi fired a volley that deflected into the net, leveling the score. The game took another turn when Yunnan's captain, Yi Teng, was shown a second yellow card in the 79th minute, leaving his side at a disadvantage.
