Armand Duplantis Secures Back-to-Back Diamond League Wins in Suzhou

Swedish pole vaulter Armand Duplantis continued his stellar start to the season by clinching his second consecutive title at the World Athletics Shanghai/Suzhou Diamond League meet in Suzhou, China. The 24-year-old soared to a height of 6.00 meters, setting a new meet record.

While this performance was a step below his impressive season-opening jump of 6.24 meters in Xiamen, which marked his eighth world record, Duplantis demonstrated remarkable consistency and determination. At Suzhou, he pushed his limits by attempting a personal best of 6.25 meters three times. Although he narrowly missed clearing the height on his final attempt, securing 6.00 meters was sufficient to ensure him back-to-back victories in the opening meets of the new season.

Duplantis' achievements highlight his dominance in the pole vaulting arena and set the stage for an exciting season ahead as he continues to challenge and redefine the limits of the sport.
