Chinese Mainland University Delegation Arrives in Taiwan for Nine-Day Visit

A delegation of 40 students and teachers from seven universities in the Chinese mainland landed at Taiwan's Taoyuan International Airport on Wednesday, marking the start of their nine-day visit to Taiwan.

Invited by the Taiwan-based Ma Ying-jeou Culture and Education Foundation, the group is spearheaded by Qiu Yong, the chairman of Tsinghua University Council. This visit aims to foster cross-strait educational and cultural exchanges, providing both students and educators with the opportunity to engage in collaborative learning and share ideas across regions.

Throughout their stay, the delegation will participate in various workshops, seminars, and cultural activities designed to enhance mutual understanding and strengthen academic ties. The nine-day itinerary includes visits to prominent educational institutions, historical sites, and participation in local community events, reflecting the foundation's commitment to promoting sustainable and immersive exchanges.

This initiative not only highlights the growing collaboration between educational institutions in the Chinese mainland and Taiwan but also underscores the importance of building bridges through knowledge and cultural exchange in today's interconnected world.
