Sisi and Trump to Meet in Davos at WEF2026

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is set to meet US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Egyptian presidency announced on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

This will be the first meeting between the two leaders since Washington launched the second phase of its plan to end the war in Gaza.

Sisi and Trump previously met in October 2025 in Sharm el-Sheikh during an Egypt-hosted summit to sign a ceasefire agreement aimed at halting the conflict.

During their Davos talks, the two presidents are expected to review regional and international developments, explore ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, and discuss initiatives to promote stability both in the region and globally.
