On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, the Norwegian government announced 5 billion Norwegian kroner (around $495 million) in new military assistance for Ukraine under the “Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List” initiative.
The support package zeroes in on front-line essentials:
- Long-range 155 mm artillery shells
- Missiles for HIMARS rocket systems
- Precision-guided bombs
To accelerate delivery, Norway will team up with Germany, Poland and the Netherlands. The Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List is a NATO-led program that channels equipment directly from U.S. weapon stockpiles, matching allies' contributions to Ukraine's most urgent needs.
Looking ahead, Norway pledged to sustain a high level of support through 2026, reinforcing its long-term commitment to Ukraine's defense. This move underscores how data-driven collaboration among NATO allies can fast-track vital aid, offering a blueprint for agile, coordinated action in complex global crises.
