China Clinch Women’s Skeet Team Gold at Asian Shooting Championships

China's women's skeet team delivered a standout performance at the Asian Shooting Championships in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, claiming the team gold with a total of 342 points. Represented by Jiang Yiting, Che Yufei, and Gao Jinmei, the trio edged out hosts Kazakhstan for the top podium spot, with India rounding out the medals.

Individually, Jiang and Che entered the final as the top qualifiers. After 50 shots, Che held a slim one-shot lead. In the closing stages, Jiang hit all 10 targets, while Che missed twice, securing Jiang the individual gold and Che the silver. Olga Khailova of Kazakhstan took bronze.

China continued its winning ways in the mixed 10-meter air pistol team event. Ma Qianke and Zhang Yifan overcame a 12-8 deficit against South Korea's Yoo Hyun-young and Lee Won-ho, racking up six straight points to win 16-12 and grab the title.

China's sweep of shooting titles in Shymkent highlights the depth of talent emerging from across Asia, setting the stage for more intense rivalries at future global showcases.
