11 Shot, 3 Killed in Brooklyn Club Shooting

In the early hours of Sunday, gunfire erupted at the Taste Of The City Lounge in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights, turning a weekend celebration into a scene of chaos and heartbreak.

Police raced to the club just before 3:30 a.m. ET (0830 GMT) after multiple 911 calls. New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch reported that officers found three men dead at the scene and eight others wounded. Investigators collected 36 shell casings, pointing to multiple shooters.

Among the injured—five men and three women—none faced life-threatening conditions, according to medical staff at nearby hospitals. Community volunteers praised the rapid response that contained the violence.

Crown Heights, known for its eclectic nightlife and cultural gatherings, has long drawn young travelers and locals alike. This shooting, however, raises fresh concerns over safety in popular urban hotspots worldwide.

Authorities believe the violence stemmed from a dispute inside the crowded venue. With no arrests yet, the NYPD has ramped up patrols as residents and leaders call for stronger measures to protect public spaces.
