Dead to Rights Premiere Brings Nanjing Massacre to North America

“Dead to Rights,” a powerful new film about the tragic events of the 1937 Nanjing Massacre, made its North American debut in Los Angeles this week. The premiere, co-hosted by CGTN America, brought together filmmakers, cultural figures, and historians for a screening that promises to spark global reflection and dialogue.

Marking the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, “Dead to Rights” has already rolled out in Australia and New Zealand since August 7. On August 15, the film opens in more than 250 cinemas across the United States, with over 20,000 screenings scheduled.

Viewers from the United Kingdom to South Korea and Malaysia to Russia will have a chance to see this moving portrayal of one of WWII’s darkest chapters.
