Global Youth Unite: CGTN’s One Home Challenge for UN80

A Call to Global Youth for UN's 80th Anniversary

As the United Nations approaches its milestone 80th anniversary in 2025, the China Global Television Network (CGTN) is inviting young creators worldwide to participate in the "One Home: Shared Future" Visual Storytelling Initiative. This campaign asks global youth to imagine and express a more just, equitable, and sustainable future through any creative medium.

How to Join

  • Choose Your Medium: Submit a video (up to 5 minutes), photo series, digital poster, or any original format that tells your story.
  • Focus Themes: Align your work with one of eight global priorities: #PeaceJustice, #ZeroPoverty, #QualityEducation, #SocialEquity, #IndustryInnovation, #LandProtection, #BlueOceans, or #ClimateAction.
  • Submission Details: Send your entries (individuals, bloggers, organizations) by August 15, 2025 to stringer@cgtn.com. Multilingual submissions are welcome.

Why Your Voice Matters

Today's youth represent over 1.8 billion people—nearly a quarter of the global population. By contributing to this initiative, you can:

  • Gain Global Exposure: Featured across CGTN’s digital platforms and official social channels.
  • Shape the Narrative: Play a role in UN80 commemorations and spark conversations on critical issues.
  • Drive Real Impact: Elevate youth perspectives on peace, climate justice, technological innovation, and more.

Bring Your Vision to Life

Whether you’re a filmmaker in the ROK, a photojournalist in Brazil, a design student in Germany, or a blogger on the island of Taiwan, your unique viewpoint can redefine tomorrow. In a world facing intertwined challenges, the "One Home: Shared Future" initiative is a platform for global youths to connect, collaborate, and create a shared narrative for humanity’s future.

Stay Engaged

Keep the conversation going by following #GlobalYouthVisualChallenge and sharing your work online. Together, we can transform ideas into action and celebrate the power of youth-driven storytelling.
