Trump: U.S. Struck Three Iranian Nuclear Sites—Fordow, Natanz, Isfahan

In a surprise announcement on Saturday, U.S. President Donald Trump declared that American forces have carried out attacks on three key nuclear facilities in Iran: Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. Trump wrote on Truth Social that \"All planes are now outside of Iran airspace. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow.\"

The strikes, reportedly involving U.S. B-2 bombers, targeted Iran’s nuclear infrastructure late Saturday (around 2:30 a.m. local time), according to three unnamed Iranian officials cited by the New York Times. A U.S. official speaking to Reuters confirmed B-2 involvement on condition of anonymity.

Iranian air defenses in Qom Province sounded alarms hours before parts of the Fordow site were hit, a spokesperson for the crisis management headquarters in Qom told China Media Group early Sunday. Meanwhile, a senior state TV official told Nour News that Iran had preemptively moved sensitive materials from the three sites days before the raids, suggesting the strikes caused minimal damage.

Reactions poured in: Houthi official Mohamed al-Farah warned these attacks could mark \"the beginning\" of a broader conflict, as reported by Al Jazeera. Back in the U.S., Representative Sara Jacobs condemned the raids on platform X, calling them \"not only unconstitutional, but an escalation that risks bringing the U.S. into another endless and deadly war.\"

As global attention focuses on these developments, the world watches for any sign of retaliation or diplomatic escalation. For young global citizens, tech enthusiasts and thought leaders, the potential impact on energy markets and geopolitical stability remains a key concern.
