Suicide Attack on Pakistani School Bus in Balochistan Kills Five

Early Wednesday in Pakistan’s Khuzdar district, a routine school bus journey ended in tragedy as a suicide bomber detonated an explosive-laden vehicle near the bus in the Zero Point area. Five people, including three students, were killed and at least 40 others, among them students and staff, were injured.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media wing, condemned the strike on innocent school-going children and vowed to track down those responsible, promising swift justice.

Khuzdar Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti confirmed the details of the blast, while rescue teams and law enforcement agencies rushed to the scene, sealing off the area and transporting the wounded to nearby hospitals.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly denounced the bombing, calling it "deeply inhumane," and pledged that no effort would be spared to thwart terrorist plots aimed at disrupting peace in Balochistan.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack as investigators launch a full-scale probe. The incident underscores the ongoing risks faced by students in conflict-affected regions and the urgent need for enhanced security measures to protect young lives.
