"Two bodies were recovered on Monday afternoon, while two others remain buried at the scene," said Sugeng Priyanto, head of the emergency unit of the Disaster Management and Mitigation Agency of East Kalimantan Province. Search efforts are ongoing amid unstable ground.
The landslides damaged multiple homes, highlighting the sudden and devastating power of extreme rainfall.
As rescue efforts continue, search teams are racing against time to locate the remaining victims.
