Multiple people were injured on Friday after a car plowed into a crowd in central Stuttgart’s Olgaeck area, local authorities said.
Police and fire department teams raced to the scene in the Stuttgart‑Mitte district, treating the wounded and cordoning off the area. Significant traffic disruptions were expected in the city center as the operation continued.
According to the German newspaper Bild, the driver was arrested on-site. Officials are investigating the circumstances behind the crash.
