Ukraine and US Envoy Kellogg Hold ‘Productive’ Talks in London

In a sign of continued transatlantic support, Ukraine's delegation met with U.S. envoy Keith Kellogg in London on Wednesday for what Defense Minister Rustem Umerov described as "productive" talks.

The meeting came after planned negotiations had been downgraded to a lower-level format. Despite the shift, both sides focused on strengthening defense cooperation, exploring fresh strategies for securing military aid, and coordinating responses to ongoing security challenges.

"These discussions were focused and results-oriented," Umerov said, praising Kellogg's deep understanding of the situation on the ground. "We identified several key areas where U.S. assistance can make an immediate impact."

Observers note that in recent months, Ukraine has sought to diversify its diplomatic channels to ensure sustained support from G7 partners. Hosting Kellogg in London underscores the importance of Western capitals rallying around Kyiv amid a protracted conflict.

Looking ahead, officials expect further meetings in coming weeks, with both sides aiming to finalize details on military deliveries and joint training programs. The next round could involve higher-level representatives as Ukraine pushes to secure robust backing before winter.

As Ukraine navigates complex global dynamics, these talks in London mark another step in a strategy to keep momentum alive on the diplomatic front.
