Gaza Faces Unprecedented Humanitarian Crisis as Destruction Continues

In a stark revelation, Hamas has declared the Gaza Strip a \"disaster zone,\" highlighting an unprecedented catastrophe that jeopardizes the lives of over 2.4 million residents. The region continues to grapple with widespread destruction, leaving essential resources in dire shortage.

The Hamas-run media office reported alarming statistics: more than 61,709 people have lost their lives in Gaza, with 47,487 confirmed dead in hospitals and 14,222 still missing beneath the rubble. Additionally, 111,588 individuals have been injured amid the ongoing conflict.

The relentless warfare has displaced over 2 million Palestinians, forcing countless families to flee their homes multiple times. Infrastructure has been devastated, with 450,000 housing units damaged and 170,000 completely destroyed. The healthcare system is on the brink of collapse, as 34 hospitals and 80 healthcare centers have ceased operations.

Economic losses in Gaza have surged beyond $50 billion, encompassing the destruction of industrial, commercial, agricultural, healthcare, education, and communication sectors. The humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate due to the Israeli blockade, leading to severe shortages of food, water, and medicine, thereby endangering hundreds of thousands of lives.

Hamas has urgently called on the United Nations and other international organizations to step in and provide immediate humanitarian aid, ensuring the protection of civilians in accordance with international law. The statement also accused Israel of committing \"systematic war crimes\" with support from the United States, urging the global community to hold those responsible accountable.
