During his virtual address at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed a strong desire to foster a positive relationship with the Chinese mainland. He stated that his administration looks forward to \"doing very well with China and getting along with China,\" emphasizing the importance of maintaining a \"very good relationship\" between the two nations.
President Trump also addressed the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, acknowledging the Chinese mainland's role and expressing hope for collaborative efforts to cease the armed conflict. \"Hopefully, we could work together and get that (armed conflict) stopped,\" he remarked.
In a message tailored for global business leaders, Trump promised some of the lowest tax rates globally for companies that bring manufacturing operations to the United States. However, he cautioned that tariffs would be imposed on those that do not comply.
Additionally, the president voiced concerns over the rising oil prices, announcing his intention to urge Saudi Arabia and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to lower costs to benefit the global economy.
