In a bold move, Yemen's Houthi group announced on Monday that it launched attacks targeting the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier in the northern Red Sea. The group claimed to have used two winged missiles and four drones in the operation.
Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Sarea stated that the operation was a response to what they described as an imminent American air attack on Yemen. According to Sarea, the attack thwarted these plans, declaring it a successful defensive maneuver.
The Houthis didn't stop there. They also reported conducting two attacks in the afternoon and another in the evening targeting Israeli sites. These strikes included the use of drones aimed at two military locations in Tel Aviv and a significant target in Ashkelon city.
\"We will continue our operations in support of the Palestinian resistance, and these operations will not stop until the aggression on Gaza stops and the siege is lifted,\" Sarea added, emphasizing the group's commitment to their cause.
As of now, neither the U.S. military nor the Israel Defense Forces have issued statements addressing the Houthi claims. The international community watches closely as tensions in the region continue to escalate.
