At least 50 Palestinians were killed, including women and children, and many others injured on Monday in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Civil Defense in Gaza said.
The Civil Defense reported that Israeli bombings targeted residential homes and shelters for displaced people in Beit Lahia and Jabalia in northern Gaza, the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza, and the cities of Khan Younis and Rafah in the south.
Due to \"continued Israeli targeting and aggression,\" the Civil Defense's work remains halted across northern Gaza, leaving thousands of citizens without humanitarian response, medical care, and relief.
Raed Al-Namas, a media official with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, informed journalists in Gaza that the health system in the north is deteriorating amidst shortages of medical supplies and personnel.
Al-Namas stated that services are operating at a minimum capacity, with 12,000 injured individuals requiring treatment outside the Strip.
This offensive marks Israel's large-scale response to a Hamas rampage through the southern Israeli border on October 7, 2023, which resulted in approximately 1,200 deaths and about 250 hostages.
The Palestinian death toll from ongoing Israeli attacks in Gaza has risen to 43,922, according to Gaza-based health authorities.
