Israeli Airstrike Targets Syrian Ba’ath Party Office in Beirut

In a significant escalation of tensions in the Middle East, Israeli warplanes conducted an airstrike on the Syrian Ba'ath Party's office in central Beirut on Sunday noon, according to reports from local TV channel al-Jadeed and AFP.

The Lebanese National News Agency confirmed, stating, \"The enemy carried out a strike on Ras al-Nabaa,\" an area known for its proximity to the French embassy and a local university.

A security source, who wished to remain anonymous, told AFP that the target was \"the Lebanese branch of the Syrian Ba'ath Party,\" with the office situated within an apartment building.

The attack heightens concerns over regional stability and the ongoing conflict dynamics between Israel and Syrian-affiliated groups in Lebanon.
