Türkiye Ends Relations with Israel, Erdogan Reaffirms Support for Palestinians

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Wednesday that Türkiye does not intend to continue and develop its ties with Israel. Speaking to journalists during his flight from Azerbaijan to Türkiye, Erdogan emphasized, \"The government of the Republic of Türkiye, headed by Erdogan, will not continue and develop its relations with Israel. We do not have such an intention.\"

Currently, Ankara has no trade ties with Israel and shows no desire to establish them. This move follows Türkiye's suspension of trade with Israel in May, a response to Israeli military actions in Gaza.

Erdogan has consistently condemned the Israeli attacks in Gaza, calling for a stronger international response to protect Palestinian civilians. Supporting the Palestinian cause has long been a cornerstone of Türkiye's foreign policy under Erdogan's leadership.

By taking this stance, Türkiye aligns itself with global calls for humanitarian protection and underscores its commitment to regional stability and human rights.
